More snow, strong winds

MERRIWEATHER - A light dusting of snow rests on sleds this morning, with strong winds and lake effect snow expected to pick up this evening.

The season’s first sleds are running the East Shore of the lake, but it is not recommended. All three riders successfully navigated the East Shore of the lake, from the Root Cellar to the Hoop ‘n Holler on Friday, December 19th. They told the Hoop cook that it was “soupy,” but if you “get after it” you’re okay.

With that in mind, please exercise caution. This author is choosing to stay off the ice for another week or so- just to be safe.
